Well, this was a long-awaited wedding! Racheal and Patrick originally planned to marry in Ibiza, but there were a few hitches along the way: Covid mainly. Eventually, they took the chance to get married in a registry office, just something low-key, and plan a full celebration back in Furness when restrictions lifted a bit more. The couple chose Base Restaurant as their venue and waited until the last weekend in August- a fabulous decision because the weather was great!
I’ve known and worked alongside Racheal for many years within the wedding industry; I was really cheering for her and Patrick to have the day they deserved, and I think they did. The groomsmen and the bridesmaids arrived at the wedding in cars provided by friends, and the outdoor ceremony took place in the garden area of Base, which gave a fantastically rustic vibe. Racheal didn’t want any formality reflected in the wedding photographs, as she was keen to just have a relaxed and fun kind of day. That worked for me, and for the chosen venue, and the photos are beautifully humorous and countrified.
Racheal and Patrick’s wedding was full of heart: the suppliers she chose were all her friends, and that felt wonderful. Chef Mark’s outdoor barbeque rounded the day off perfectly. And afterwards, we took a trip to the local beach for some romantic photos. Wonderful!
