Mandy & James

Mandy is my sister-in-law, so I was really happyto be shooting her wintery wedding, which took place at The Nan Tait Centre in Barrow, with a reception at Hawcoat Parks Sports Club. Mandy proposed to James in the leap-year of 2020, and his response was ‘why have you waited so long’! Two of Mandy’s daughters were bridesmaids and James’ nephew, Ragnar, stole the show with his ring-bearer duties.

We braved the weather for an evocative photoshoot in Barrow Park, before settling into a warm welcome at Hawcoat. Family had travelled from all over the country to be together and were soon relaxing into each other’s company. I actually think I was more nervous shooting a family wedding than one where I’m just the service-provider, but I think the photos reflect just how much fun we all had on the day!
