As soon as we got engaged we knew we wanted Steve as our photographer… we wouldn’t have wanted anyone else! Steve made us feel very comfortable in front of the camera and took a very relaxesddssasd and natural approach to capturing all the amazing moments of our day. His photography style is totally unobtrusive yet he managed to photograph so many special moments and details that we’ll cherish forever.
We’ve just received our image gallery and it was a total joy to relive the day all over again. People say your wedding goes by in the blink of an eye and it’s true – but with Steve’s incredible talent for capturing these precious moments, we’ve got a record of them to look back on for a lifetime. We booked Steve over 18 months ago for our wedding on 6th July 2024 after so many recommendations, and he did not disappoint. Kept in touch with us prior to wedding.
The morning of the wedding went above and beyond to help us out and make sure the day was perfect, keeping everything calm and relaxed. We felt no pressure or stress thanks to Steve.
Steve got all the pictures we asked for and so much more, each photo tells a story. He worked so well with the team at Townhead estate and our videographer and his communication was brilliant.
The wedding photos are just incredible and we couldn’t ask for anything more from Steve.

Where do we begin!
We can’t thank Steve enough for making us both feel so comfortable and at ease on our wedding day!
From initially booking Steve, to the big day – nothing was ever too much trouble. His attention to detail was incredible, and more than we could ever ask for. Our day was captured so beautifully. And looking through our album is like re-living our wedding day all over again!
From the formal photographs, to the natural ones and even the swinging on the swing and prosecco spray – everything was captured so perfectly.
Steves ideas on the day captured more memories than we would have even thought of!
Steve wasn’t just our photographer, he was a huge part of our day. And it wouldn’t have been the same without him!

If you’re looking for an experienced, down to earth, passionate photographer then I couldn’t recommend Steve enough.
Prior to the wedding he really took the time to understand what it was we had in mind, who we were as people and all the special moments we wanted to capture. We wanted relaxed, natural photos to really get a true reflection of the day.
We didn’t want posed / staged photos and we didnt want to be away from our guests for a long time. Steve absolutely provided all the above and more. We felt like we knew him and could be ourselves around him.
He made relationships with the guests and really fit in to the day so much we forgot we even had a photographer there which made those natural moments even easier.
His daughter Rosie also came anlong and made some amazing reels for us.

We would both like to say that Steve was the perfect photographer for our wedding. He completely understood that we wanted a relaxed, informal and laid back approach. Steve was able to put everyone at ease resulting in a wonderful mix of posed photographs as well as capturing relaxed moments that were happening in the background. Guests were also offered the opportunity for personal photographs of themselves, families and friends which was a lovely touch. We can’t thank him enough for capturing our special day and would highly recommend him.

I’m lucky enough to call Steve my uncle, so having him as our wedding photographer was an absolute no brainer. From the moment he and Rosie arrived, they made both of us feel so at ease and genuinely became such an important memorable part of our amazing day.
The way Steve approaches everything is so relaxed yet incredibly attentive to make sure the day was captured in the way we wanted it to be, even if that meant nipping into McDonald’s for a quick happy meal.
We’ll always have the honour of having taking Steve on his first ever Uber ride down to the docs. Having worked in the wedding industry myself for a number of years, I can truthfully say that Steve is a credit to the trade and a perfect example of what a wedding photographer should be.
On a personal note, he’s also a credit to our family and we are very proud to share a surname with him.

They say bag yourself a decent photographer for your wedding day and we sure got that.
We were reccomended Steve Hillman by a mutual friend, after viewing his work we knew this is who we wanted and we where lucky enough that Steve had space in his busy diary to capture our wedding day. On the day Steve and his daughter Rosie (who captured some reels for social media) picked out some brilliant backdrops for the photos.
To say they went above and beyond would be an understatement.
They both have a very calm and relaxed approach and they where able to capture all those little moments on camera that we would have missed.
everything from the behind the scenes shots, the ceremony, drinks reception, group and family pictures, the meal and the evening do all turned out incredible.
Steve sure has an eye for detail and if he had an idea for a shot he would check we where happy to do it before setting it up e.g getting the wedding party all lined up on a canal bridge whilst he hopped in a canal boat the get the pictures.
We can’t thank Steve and Rosie enough for all their hard work, the wedding album looks amazing and we would highly reccommend Steve Hillman to anybody.

We booked Steve as our photographer for our wedding on 28th October this year, after a recommendation. We will be forever grateful for that recommendation.
From the start Steve was prompt with his email replies to any of our questions or queries, and put our minds at ease. Our wedding was a fair distance from our home, so it wasn’t possible to meet with Steve beforehand, this did not faze Steve, we had an in-depth phone call before our big day to ensure everything was organised, and no detail was missed.
Steve had not been to our venue before, so he made the effort to scope out the area beforehand, and arrived early on our wedding day to pick out the best areas for shots!
Steve and his wonderful daughter (his helper for the day) made us feel completely relaxed. They were a dynamic team who made sure even small details and moments we may have missed were captured.
Our day was a very chilled and natural vibe, and Steve captured this to a tee. He captured all the sort of shots we wanted and more! The formal photographs with family and friends took no time at all, it was incredibly efficient! Steve’s prompts and hints for certain photos like cake cutting were warmly received!
We also really appreciated the time Steve took to get us away from our guests for a few moments to capture some couple shots, this gave us time to reflect on our day, as well as getting a few moments alone together, which was extra special.
Once the day was over Steve shared a few sneak peak photos which made us even more excited to see the rest! Steve was prompt sending the rest of our photos across, within a matter of weeks after.

Booking a photographer for your wedding is one of the most important decisions you have to make. And as a mature bride and groom who are both quite camera shy! we were really struggling to find the perfect one for us, as a lot of websites seemed to be aimed at younger people, and we were beginning to find the whole experience daunting.
But eventually, and luckily for us our elopement wedding venue The Abbey House Hotel recommend Steve, and what a recommendation!!
Hiring Steve as our wedding photographer was one of the best decisions we made. We needn’t have worried, from the moment we met Steve we knew he was the right guy, and what a guy!!!
Steve is so lovely, friendly, and approachable, who immediately put us at ease and made us relax with his warmth and kindness.
Everything went perfectly on our wedding day and we couldn’t be more thrilled with the way Steve captured all of the special moments, in such a beautiful relaxed style. We barely noticed him taking pictures, his professionalism and friendly nature just shone throughout the whole day.
