Leasil & Nish

I was lucky enough to have photographed Leasil and Nish’s ‘pandemic’ wedding at a local venue, but when they asked me to shoot their ‘dream’ wedding-the one they’d originally planned-in Oxford, of course I said yes! I travelled to Oxford on the day of the wedding, as thermometers hit 40 degrees centigrade. I met Nish again in the foyer of his hotel and this time he was wearing traditional costume and looked amazing.

Leasil, looking stunning as always, walked with her bridal party through the baking streets of Oxford, past the Radcliffe Camera, to The Divinity School, where the ceremony was to take place. Reverend Canon Ruth Crossley performed this blessing as a follow up to Leasil and Nish’s official wedding in 2020, where she also officiated. Guests had travelled to Oxford from all over the world, and the Oxford tourists joined in the celebrations as Leasil and Nish walked past the ‘Bridge of Sighs’ and on to Keeble College for their reception.

There was something so evocative about sitting at the refectory tables in Keeble to enjoy our meal. The evening reception carried on this theme, taking Leasil and Nish and their guests to Oxford’s iconic Natural History Museum, where the bride and groom danced amongst dinosaur bones and a gigantic grizzly bear!
