Where to begin. From start to finish, Steve was amazing. Funny, attentive, detailed. He really went above and beyond to take the widest selection of pictures for our wedding day. From driving out to Lake Windermere to scaling the entire grounds of our venue to get every possible angle. I can’t recommend Steve highly enough. Our gallery is incredible, capturing every possible emotion and moment of our day in a way that brought tears to our eyes, and really enabled us to relive the day all over again.

Without Steve, we wouldn’t of had our perfect wedding day. From planning a big weekend wedding for two years, to cancelling and deciding to elope, Steve was with us every step of the way.
Eloping is exciting but also daunting – No family or friends around, yet Steve was Bridesmaid, Best Man, Stylist, Coordinator, Photographer and most importantly, that friendly face.
The guy who walked in and told me I looked beautiful, who waited whilst I downed my gin, stood with me whilst I stuck my eyelash back on, held my bag and then asked if I was ready to go and get married.
This guy is more than a photographer. The kindest man with a big heart. Find a photographer that when soaking wet, lays their jacket on the ground so your dress doesn’t get dirty, balances on the rocks and happily snaps away. We booked Steve over 18 months ago for our wedding at Town Head on 6th July 2024 after so many recommendations, and he did not disappoint. Kept in touch with us prior to wedding.
The morning of the wedding went above and beyond to help us out and make sure the day was perfect, keeping everything calm and relaxed. We felt no pressure or stress thanks to Steve.
Steve got all the pictures we asked for and so much more, each photo tells a story. He worked so well with the team at Town Head estate and our videographer and his communication was brilliant.
The wedding photos are just incredible and we couldn’t ask for anything more from Steve.

STEVE HILLMAN, What a man! When we were booking our wedding it was a no brainer that Steve would be the guy for us. From knowing of Steve and watching his amazing work at Abbey House weddings to attending weddings Steve photographed we knew he was perfect for us. Steve isn’t just a photographer, he somehow seemlessly slips into the guests at the wedding making the images he captures so natural and unique. With being a couple who hate photos being taken the photography was one thing we did discuss a lot! But with Steve he just made it so easy to smile and be normal, going out of his way to ensure we were happy and relaxed. It was like having another family member helping out and going that extra mile. Capturing the most amazing images from the whole day, not only of our wedding but the added extra for our little boys birthday, knowing exactly where to go for the perfect photographs whilst keeping the running of the day on track along with the staff from Abbey House. We can’t thank Steve enough for all his amazing hard work and effort on his last wedding before Christmas, not only focusing on what he needed to do as our photographer, but helping guide our friend who was our videographer (his first wedding). Although it’s only one day, we have the most amazing memories that will last a lifetime all thanks to Steve!

We met Steve at the Carus Green Wedding Fayre and booked him to photograph our wedding on the 23.9.23 
and what a fantastic job he did. He made us all feel at ease and relaxed on the day. Nothing was to much trouble, he helped out in the morning when we were all getting ready with the flowers and other small details checking everything was in the right place and taking the pressure off me. I appreciate Steve so much for his pure kindness and compassion. I trusted Steve to use his initiative and experience to capture the most beautiful shots. We are blown away by the way he captured our wedding day. Steve has provided us with memories to treasure for life. We had lots of laughs and felt he was a friend we had known for years. After a couple of years of ups, downs, highs and lows, trying to plan a wedding abroad, our dream wasn’t meant to be. So, with short notice we managed to put together a local wedding, followed by a night do already had planned as an after-celebration.
One of the first names we mentioned, with regards to planning the local wedding, was Steve’s. Having known and worked with Steve a lot over the years working in the wedding industry, there was no doubt Steve was the right guy to capture our vision of the day.
As a couple, we only requested a specific handful of photos to be taken on the day, going with a more chilled and relaxed vibe; we left the rest up to Steve. We put 100% trust in him and never looked back; what we got was beyond what we could have ever imagined.
We also had a videographer booked, from away, and these two got on so well it was as if they had known each other and worked together many times before.
Steve has such an eye for capturing the most beautiful moments naturally, and he’s a pleasure to have around on your special day; he makes everyone feel comfortable and relaxed.
He works tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure your day is shot perfectly, and nothing is too much trouble. Not only an amazing photographer, but also someone to call a friend.
Our memories and pictures will last a life-time and our day would not have been complete without Steve there.

Where to begin. From start to finish, Steve was amazing! He is so lovely, kind, funny, attentive and detailed. Our wedding pictures are AMAZING! We LOVE them! Beautiful, stunning and full of colour just what we hoped for! We have never been to the Lake District before so we gave Steve our full trust. As he’d been there before, he knows the good shots and tells you where and when to pose, and he did not disappoint! I can’t recommend Steve enough. Our pictures are just incredible, capturing every moment of our day in a way that helped us to re live the day all over again.

What an amazing wedding photographer! Would highly recommend Steve for wedding photography! From the moment Steve arrived on our wedding day, he made us all feel so comfortable, introduced himself and got stuck in. All our photos looked so natural; most of the time we wouldn’t have known Steve was there! He absolutely flew through our list of formal photos, so we didn’t lose our day to taking pictures! He thought of wonderful picture ideas and made sure we were completely happy before he left! He thought of some amazing shots- some we never would have thought of, and the entire time we were getting our pictures, we all had such a laugh! We received our photos within 3 weeks of our wedding. They came on a lovely USB which included over 900 stunning photos, copies in black and white, and also copies sized for social media! In the time between receiving our photos and our wedding, Steve would keep in contact and randomly send us pictures he had edited! Massive thank you to Steve for being part of our special day and leaving us with amazing pictures to look back on forever.
